How to measure your ringsize
Measure an existing ring
Step 1. Select a ring that properly fits your intended finger. If you don't have a ring use one of the other methodes to find out your ringsize.
Step 2. Measure the amount of millimeters on the INSIDE of the ring. If there is 16,5 millimeters on the inside of the ring, you will need to order size 16,5.
Measure your finger
Step 1. Order your reusable ring size strip here fore FREE.
Step 2. Wrap the string around the intended finger. Measure the finger around 3 to 4 times in order to increase accuracy. Maybe measure in the morning and evening.
Step 3. Read the length of the strip and use our conversion table to determine your ringsize.

Our Atelier is our our office, atelier and showroom all in one. So this is also the place were we melt, form and solder recycled gold or recycled silver into your new piece of jewellery. Once you place an order we start creating and let you know when its ready for shipping or pick up.

An east west diamond ring with a sideways emerald cut
In an east west diamond ring, the stone lies on its side. It runs across your finger, in line with the band, instead of pointing towards your fingertip. For this ring we chose a white emerald cut diamond of 0.4 carat, set horizontally on a rounded 14k gold band. A classic diamond ring, with the stone given a quarter turn.
Why we chose an emerald cut for this east west ring
An emerald cut has an octagonal outline: a rectangle with its corners cut off. Those corners make the stone less likely to chip. The long, straight facets give broad flashes of light instead of small sparkles, a bit like looking into a row of mirrors. That clean shape works well for an east west engagement ring, and just as well for every day.
Made by hand in Amsterdam, or custom made for you
We make every east west diamond ring by hand in our Amsterdam atelier, from 14k recycled gold. We work in 14k because it is harder than 18k, which matters for a ring you wear daily. This one has a 1.8 mm band and a 5 x 3.5 mm diamond, in sizes 15 to 20, half sizes included.

What is an East West ring?
A ring where the centre stone is set horizontally, across the finger, instead of pointing towards the fingertip. Elongated shapes show it best, such as emerald, oval, marquise and pear.
Is an east west diamond ring suitable as an engagement ring?
Yes. Turning the stone sideways gives a classic solitaire a less expected look, while the ring stays easy to wear every day.
